Navy Pier

Our last day in Chicago as "tourists" and not family-reunion-attendees is the 24th. I'm thinking Navy Pier, the whole day.

This is what I am thinking

10 am : 1 hr sightseeing boat tour off the pier
Various rides
noon: Show: Battle for Booty (free)
Various rides and lunch
1:30: Show: Magic by Randy (free)
Various rides
Childrens Museum
Stained Glass Museum (I adore stained glass)
4pm: IMAX: Transformers 2 (This is definite and paid for, thanks honey!)
7 pm: dinner; various rides
9:15: fireworks
Back to hotel to pass out

Do you think the kids can stay sane a whole day on the pier? Can I? realistically, we'll probably arrive later and leave earlier (although I LOVE fireworks...) I'm just trying to make sure we have plans, but I'm open to changing them.

Are there places to just sit and people watch? Play frisbee?

Also, to be honest, I'd like a day where I'm not figuring out public transportation and getting on and off it all day!

Most other days I am thinking day trips and back to hotel in evening for swimming, hotel movie, etc...

Or...should we just do an afternoon at the pier and end with the movie?
